Accessibility for all

Accessibility for all at the Bled Congress Centre

The Bled Institute for Culture (manager of the Bled Congress Centre) is committed to ensuring accessibility to the Bled Congress Centre for all visitors, including people with special needs and various disabilities. We provide specific adaptations that allow for easier access and a more pleasant experience. As individual needs may vary, we invite you to contact us before your visit for additional information. We will be happy to assist you and help find the best possible solution.

Access to the main hall for those with mobility impairments is provided via a side path with a lowered curb. The main hall is located on the ground floor and is reachable by a level, unobstructed pathway. Access to the smaller meeting rooms on the first floor is made possible by an elevator. An accessible restroom for people with mobility impairments is also available on the ground floor. Hearing loops are installed at the information desk, in the cloakroom, and in the main hall to support deaf and hard-of-hearing visitors, allowing for clearer and more precise listening to speech or sound.

Blind and visually impaired:

  • The entrance is adapted for blind and visually impaired visitors, with contrast strips on glass surfaces and appropriate lighting.
  • The elevator is equipped with tactile buttons.
  • Restrooms are marked with tactile signage.
  • Stairs are marked with anti-slip and high-contrast indicators, and door frames feature contrasting markings.

Deaf and hard of hearing:

  • Hearing loop available at the information desk and in the cloakroom.
  • A fixed induction hearing loop is installed in the main hall (assistive listening devices are also available for individuals without hearing aids).
  • For the smaller meeting rooms, mobile hearing loops are available (on loan from Bled Castle). This system is suitable for meetings and lectures.

People with mobility impairments:

  • Designated parking spaces for people with mobility impairments are available nearby, in the Spa Park (Zdraviliški park).
  • Accessible entrance for individuals with mobility impairments.
  • Accessible restrooms.
  • Access to the smaller meeting rooms is provided via an elevator, which is suitably equipped for wheelchair users.
  • The main hall is wheelchair accessible, with a designated area for wheelchair users to comfortably attend events.

ACCESSIBILITY WITHOUT BARRIERS

Adaptations for people with special needs

At the Bled Congress Centre, we believe in equality and an inclusive experience for all our visitors. That is why we consistently implement measures to improve accessibility:

Physical Accessibility: In 2024, an Accessibility Review of the facility was conducted, along with measures for improving accessibility. In accordance with the Regulation on Ensuring Unobstructed Access, Entry, and Use of Public Buildings and Multi-Residential Structures, accessibility adaptations at the Bled Congress Centre will begin in 2025.

Specially Trained Staff: When needed, we ensure that our staff are trained to communicate with and assist individuals with various needs, including the use of basic sign language.

Personalized Assistance: Assistance is available for moving around the venue, and personal support is provided when necessary. Our staff are patient and ready to explain information in a clear and understandable way.

Content Adaptation: At events, if needed, we provide sign language interpretation, subtitles, or audio descriptions for individuals with hearing or visual impairments.

Family-Friendly Events: Programs and activities are adapted for children with developmental disorders or other special needs.
